Michigan CEC values diversity within our organization and the greater community. We recognize that our organization is stronger when we embrace, honor, and welcome diverse perspectives, experiences, backgrounds, and identities. We are committed to the care, respect, and dignity of all individuals. We express our commitment to anti-racism and dismantling systems of oppression within the educational community. We reaffirm our dedication to social justice, diversity, inclusion, and equity as we strive to be responsive to the needs of our students, families, and educators. We seek to give voice to and amplify the voices of those who have been marginalized by being proactive and intentional in our advocacy efforts including promoting awareness, deepening understanding, and exerting influence on social issues, public policy, and legislation that impact success for individuals with exceptionalities. Michigan CEC will continue to uphold the values of inclusion and equity as we work to ensure that each and every individual is valued within the communities in which they live and learn.
