85th Annual Michigan Council Exceptional Children Conference

Each year, special education professionals, pre-service teachers, parents, and the greater education community come together at the largest gathering of special education stakeholders in Michigan. This year’s conference theme, Michigan Celebrates Every Child will highlight the work and achievement of EVERY special education student, educator, and parent. It will accomplish this by delivering an array of carefully curated content to foster improved outcomes for students with exceptionalities, as well as providing relevant and timely training and information from the Michigan Department of Education, Office of Special Education.

Several amazing pre-conference workshops kick off our celebration on Wednesday February 26, 2025. The fellowship and learning continue on February 27th and 28th with over 90 breakout sessions, a Keynote by Dr. Shelley Moore, an internationally recognized educator and inclusion expert, an address by our state director, the 60th annual Recognition and Scholarship Reception, and more. As a bonus, our conference offers an extensive list of continuing education hours because we truly understand the importance of providing professional and personal growth opportunities to special education practitioners.
