August Newsletter

Greetings!

I hope this message finds you well and in good health. We have been busy preparing for a productive year.

MCEC Board members just completed a virtual summer  planning retreat where we discussed ideas and developed goals for this year. The retreat was insightful and, as a result, there are many great opportunities in the works. For instance, more legislative action updates and professional development opportunities. One opportunity you will not want to miss is a Town Hall with MDE on topics surrounding schools reopening, scheduled for later this month. More information is forthcoming and will be available on the MCEC website. A description about the Town Hall is listed in the PD section of this newsletter.

If your CEC membership is set to expire, please consider renewing it. For those not paying your union dues this summer, you might consider using those funds to cover the costs of your CEC membership. CEC membership provides you with lots of timely information, resources, and supports. More information about CEC membership options can be found here. You may also contact MCEC Membership Chair, Joe DeMarsh, for more information.

As always, MCEC strives to be responsive to the needs of our members. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to connect with me on Twitter or via email. Remember, we are all in this together!

Respectfully,
Andrea (Angie) Jasper
