October Newsletter

Greetings!

I hope this message finds you well and in good health. As MCEC continues to navigate the COVID-19 challenges, we are offering multiple professional development options in a virtual format to our membership.

I want to share with you our upcoming professional development opportunity. The webinar is entitled, Flipping Out! Best Practices for Instruction and Engagement for Digital/Hybrid Classrooms and will be held on Wednesday, October 21st. Those who participate in this webinar will learn some tips and tricks to assist with navigating online instruction and ensuring student success. You don’t want to miss it!

More information about upcoming professional development opportunities can be found on the MCEC website located here: http://www.michigancec.org/home. Also, MCEC and CEC have resources and tools on their websites to help you continue providing robust instruction. You can find those resources at the CEC website located here: https://exceptionalchildren.org/.

Finally, I want to encourage you to take some time for yourself. As we are getting in the swing of things, it is easy to get bogged down with our professional responsibilities. Take some time to rest, when you are able, by taking a quick walk or listening to your favorite song. You deserve a little break!

As a reminder, the MCEC 81st Annual Conference will be held March 3-5, 2021. We hope that you will join us! Keep an eye on the MCEC website for the most up-to-date conference information.

As always, MCEC strives to be responsive to the needs of our members. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to connect with me on Twitter or via email. Remember, we are all in this together!
