Ensure up-to date information is shared with all members by:
• Leveraging technology to bring awareness to and provide relevant resources/supports/PD to stakeholders regarding DEI issues (across multiple, intersecting identities).
• Showing support of current and relevant events/topics; Ex: Black History Month, Pride Month, mitochondrial disease awareness.
Increase the quality and scope of professional development opportunities across the state by:
• Collaborating with general education professional organizations (i.e. MAISA, MASA, MASCD).
• Addressing issues related to social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion as it relates to education for all.
|Create synchronous and asynchronous professional learning opportunities to address the needs of MCEC stakeholders by actively engaging in equity work that fosters inclusive and diverse topics representing multiple intersecting identities for the greater special education community to support our mission.|
