Paraprofessional Award

The MCEC Impact Paraprofessional of the Year Award recognizes a Paraprofessional who currently provides direct services to students with exceptionalities. Our Paraprofessional Award is an outstanding member of the education community whose work exemplifies the best in special education support. Their work reflects significant, documented educational success for students, continued professional development, and the highest standards of educational quality. Nomination packets must be electronically submitted by December 20, 2025 at midnight/11:59pm EST. Award Benefits - The MCEC Para-Professional Award recipient will:

• Be recognized at a recognition banquet ceremony during the MCEC Conference at the Grand Plaza Hotel, Grand Rapids, Michigan;
• Receive one-night accommodations at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, where the recognition ceremony will be held;
• Receive one-year membership to CEC
• Receive a plaque with inscription
• Receive an all expense paid trip to attend the Special Education Legislative Summit in Washington, DC
• Be featured on MCECs social media platforms
• Be featured on MCEC’s Website: www.michigancec.org
• Have application forwarded to National CEC Outstanding Paraprofessional of the Year Award as long as all requirements of that award are met.
