Michigan Divisions
As one of 18 Special Interest Divisions of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), DADD is committed to enhancing the quality of life of individuals, especially children and youth, with autism, intellectual disabilities and other developmental disabilities. Members receive Education and Training in Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities, and DADD Express Newsletter.
Michigan DADD was initiated two years ago. The Division currently has a board of directors and are working to create a website of tools and resources for educators working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.

DCDT focuses on the career development of individuals with disabilities and/or who are gifted and their transition from school to adult life. Members receive Career Development for Exceptional Individuals and the DCDT Network newsletter.

DDEL advances educational opportunities for culturally and linguistically diverse learners with disabilities and/or gifts and talents, their families, and the professionals who serve them. It is the only professional organization dedicated exclusively to the concerns of culturally and linguistically diverse exceptional learners.

DEC is an organization designed for individuals who work with or on behalf of children with special needs, birth through age 8, and their families. Members receive the Journal of Early Intervention (Professional and Student members only) and Young Exceptional Children magazine.

As part of CEC's Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE), MAASE promotes professional leadership and provides special education administrators with opportunities for personal and professional advancement. Members receive the Journal of Special Education Leadership and the InCASE newsletter.
The Michigan Division for Communication, Language, and Deaf/Hard of Hearin (MDCD) is concerned with the well- being, development, and education of infants, toddlers, children, and youth with communication and learning disorders, ranging from mild to profound, and or who are deaf or hard of hearing.
